Vending Services Integration

This past May 28th, we met at the Huntington Atrium where a new vending machine was being serviced.

As a developer, I would like to offer my congratulations on a job well done.

The vending machine is on an electrical feed which powers off at night and back on the next morning, so I did observe the initialization of the Android application and power-up sequence. I also purchased a strawberry beverage which was very good!

I believe there are a few opportunities we can work on together and bring a positive experience to the customer.

XCaliber Networks (www.xcaliber.network) provides subscribers with the option of paying via PayPal, Venmo, Bank Card and Cryptocurrencies.

This functionality would be incorporated with a new Android Mobile App which would present a menu from a cluster of nearby vending machines. The customer selects a combination of beverage, snack pack, sandwich, personal pizza, lunch specials, etc. and initiates the payment.

The customer approaches each vending machine and presents a QR Code to complete the order and receive the items.

The customer can also purchase items as gifts for another member.

These purchases are recorded in Block Chains and analyzed using A/I to assist in optimizing product location and popularity.

XCaliber has an application called “Pass-It-On” which depicts how this is analysis is performed and could also be incorporated into the new app.

The system also rewards customers who pass along the new app.

XCaliber also develops IoT devices using our IoT/MOS/VIO operating system.

An IoT monitor installed in a vending machine would provide environmental reporting for internal conditions such as spillage, smoke detection, jams, and power consumption; and external conditions such as the equipment being moved, tampered with, or power outages.

Part of our discussion indicated these vending machines are deployed in airports.

XCaliber has an application called “No-Lost-Luggage” which could be deployed using a vending machine.

The application prints luggage tags with a QR Code  for tracking and locating baggage.

This seems like a natural fit – a vending machine dispensing luggage tags.

I would certainly work with your technical team to integrate these services and can begin on these projects whenever you are ready.

I like to develop these types of programs incrementally, this way we establish connectivity right away, then implement and test one function/feature at a time.
